Meet in the car park area at Waterfall Creek Reserve then we will 4WD up to Bartopia Camp Ground.  Yes, we are a 4WD Club and access to Bartopia is via (stock standard vehicle) dirt track/4WD to reach Bartopia. We will follow trip rules with radio and tail end Charlie to guide you along the track.

DESTINATION: Bartopia Camp ground, Maroon. DATE: Fri 28th – Sun 30th November

DIRECTIONS: Follow Google maps directions to get to the above meeting spot.

TIME:  Friday – Meeting point 11am Saturday – Meeting point 10am

RATING: Easy DISTANCE: should be less than 200km round trip from your home.

FUEL: Available in Beaudesert, Boonah & Rathdowney PERMITS REQUIRED: No

DOMESTIC ANIMALS: – Yes – Be aware ticks are in the area

RECOVERY GEAR: – preferably yes & a saw (for cutting firewood) If you have one

FACILITIES: – Shower & Toilet facility, 2 x cabins sleep 10 people each – 2x double bed with single up top & 2 x bunk beds), tank water, Camp Kitchen, Communal area, Pizza Oven, Firepit.

COST: As a thank you for giving our Club exclusive use of Bartopia Camp Ground help the owner to purchase a new ride on mower for the campground – suggested donation is:

Camping – $20 Cash per couple per night. Cabin: $30 Cash per couple per night. Day Visit – Free

Club supplied Christmas Meal & Sunday Breakfast– Members Free Non–Members $25 each

ACTIVITIES PLANNED: 

Friday: set up camp – explore, relax, optional – Pizza for dinner (bring your own ingredients for pizza)

Saturday: – Christmas Party Celebrations, Christmas decorated camp site/car/person, Scavenger Hunt

Games, Darts, Cards, Boche, Trivia, Raffle, Christmas Meal (Supplied by Club)

Sunday: Breakfast cooked for members that camp overnight, Pack up and head home.

WHAT TO BRING:  Bed Linen & pillow if using cabin accommodation; Camping gear if camping, Citronella candles (mozzies about), insect spray (march flies & ticks are in the area), sunscreen, firewood, chair, food, snacks to share, drinks, drinking water (tank water avail. For shower), hat, Christmas Cheer,

Club will supply Christmas Camp Dinner on Saturday evening & Breakfast on Sunday,
